The Board of Directors is responsible for oversight and governance of the agency; establishing over-arching policies to ensure the achievement of quality programs and financially secure operations; and ensuring ethical and legal accountability and integrity throughout the organization.  Board members are required to attend all Board meetings, serve on at least two committees, support fundraising efforts and special events, and make an annual financial contribution.

Board members come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds: recipients of home care services; experts on Alzheimer’s disease, elder abuse, social services, financial planning, elder and nonprofit law, elder care, and psychology; and professionals in senior care and the care of families struggling with age related issues. This diversity is reflective of the greater community we serve.

Argentium Care Team

The staff at Argentium Care is dedicated to providing nonprofit supportive services to our home care clients and caregivers and our Senior Connections’ volunteer friendly visitors and participants. We serve older adults by meeting their needs to feel safe and supported where they most want to be – at home, while striving to keep our rates as low as possible.

Carrol is a high school graduate with a certified nursing assistant (CNA) certificate, with over fifteen year’s experience in the home care arena, both as a caregiver and a home care supervisor. From there, Carrol went to Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS), where she worked as a caregiver for older adults, then, after a year, was promoted to Service Coordinator and later promoted to Home Care Supervisor. Carrol is currently the Program Supervisor for Argentium Care’s home care program, where she continues to evolve and grow. She says, “She likes being at Argentium Care because she works with a great team that is very supportive, hardworking, respectful and caring, and that caregivers and clients also experience this amazing atmosphere when they call or visit the office.” Carrol feels that her work is valued by clients, caregivers, coworkers and professionals in the field including, in her words, “my amazing executive directors, both past and present.” One thing she has learned from older adults is: “WOW! Don’t take your health for granted. Be kind to all as you never know who you will need when you are unable to do for yourself.”
