For Those With Dementia: The Evanston Memory Café is Open

On the third Saturday of the month, beginning in September 2018, SASI will co-sponsor a Memory Café with the Evanston Public Library (EPL) and the Chicago Center for Cognitive Wellness (CCCW). The Memory Cafe will provide a variety of opportunities for engagement in art, dance, music, and other activities for people living with dementia and their care partners. The Memory Café is free to all.

SASI, the EPL & CCCW join a growing network of Memory Cafés to address an underserved population. The offered activities will empower and entertain people with dementia and their care partners in a neutral setting where everyone succeeds. Memory Cafés are an important tool for people with dementia and their care partners to combat isolation and reclusiveness and to stay engaged and involved in their community.

Saturdays, 1:00pm - 3:00pm                                                                                                                                                                                                       Evanston Public Library, Main Branch                                                                                                                                                                                              Falcon Foom                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              1703 Orrington, Evanston, IL
